I recently downloaded a Japanese Adult Video (JAV) that had been "uncensored" by removing the Mosaic (MR).
Is there a free, simple to use, program that I could use to Remove the Mosaic of a censored JAV?
Doing a search I found VSDC Free Video Software that seemed that the only free thing was the download, it implied but never mentioned the amount of a monthly fee and it appeared to be extremely complicated, claiming it could do all kinds of things to improve your videos and didn't mention Mosaic Removal specifically.
I don't need to "do all kinds of things" to improve a censored JAV. I just want to Remove the Mosaic (MR) to make it uncensored.
Any recommendation would be appreciated

Instead of using VirtualDub, use VirtualDub2 (http://virtualdub2.com/ or https://sourceforge.net/p/vdfiltermod/wiki/Home/)

After if you want to do a better work, and not lost the details of unmosaiced parts,
you can use with VirtualDub2 the filter "fflayer" which puts a video within a video, in your case put the enhanced video into the original mozaic video, and use "Blending" option on it to select the area at a start frame to an end frame. Repeat this for all the mozaic part, add a new filter "fflayer" change the blending area, start and end frames.
When you finish this, you can recompress your video.

Not easy? Yeah maybe but it's just a lot of work to do.

A second method more simple:
Use DeepMosaics https://github.com/HypoX64/DeepMosaics
but it needs a good computer.

I never test to remove mozaic, so good luck.

There is no quick and easy way to do it. BUT... There are many Jav sites that offer Reduced Mosaic and Uncensored videos for downloading. BUT....

Yes, there is always another but.

Paysites offer the higher res, of course, such as supjav and Roshy. You can still get 1080p on the free sites.

BUT...

I have to warn you, in case you haven't noticed it in RM and UNC videos, the magic is removed as well. You can see the condoms, and you can see that the creampies are fake. (Hope I didn't destroy your childlike innocence)

There is always a trade-off with decensoring.

There are some tools out there to do it, but they take a long time to work, commonly place artifacting on the video, and can show that what you think is happening behind the pixelation is not quite what you thought. And like most US companies, most Japanese companies now use condoms.

And they can be found already done, but then there is something else. I get a lot of my videos from ProjectJAV, and they have a large number that are censored, uncensored, and decensored. However, a large number that have been decensored are done by annoying Chinese casino sites. And as such have their adds permanently all over the screen from start to finish. And to be honest, I would rather see censored than those damned banners all over the place.

It's a bit off topic, but sometimes I think even if uncensored stuff became legal in Japan, the AV industry would keep using mosaics.
Actually, it became a convenient way to hide condoms, fake semen, etc, and this is a part JAV fans appreciate inconsciously. I also think it makes some ladies less reluctant to join the industry.

I feel the same way. I watch JAV because the mosaic forces the focus onto other elements that make the experience more engaging—things like the buildup, the chemistry, and the overall atmosphere. It’s a lot more interesting than the emotionless, purely graphic showcase we often see in North America, or even worse, the overly mechanical approach that’s common in Eastern European productions.
