Incomplete translation

For some reason, Subtitle Edit leaves many lines untranslated when I use the auto-translate feature. This happens with the Japanese audio-to-text subtitles I work on when translating to English. Did I miss an option, or is this normal behavior? Am I stuck using manual translation tools for those lines?

This is an exemple of what I meant

118
00:14:57,200 --> 00:15:04,083
Mr. Okuda is a grandchild who is loving by her husband.

119
00:15:05,930 --> 00:15:07,020
but

120
00:15:10,430 --> 00:15:12,030
スート にもう

121
00:15:12,994 --> 00:15:13,185
する

122
00:15:13,700 --> 00:15:15,810
I guess

Hello,

I never use the translate function of SubtitleEdit, but I've noticed this behaviour several times when I tried to translate subtitles from translate.google.com main page.

So I guess it's not a parameter issue. Something (a specific character, or a request treshold, ...) seems to freeze the google translation. When I tried again, sometimes everything is ok, or sometimes the issue remains with other lines...

So it's still a mystery for me...

You could be right since I use Google V1 api to translate (I don't know how to get the other ones to work) and the thing I noticed is that when I got incomplete translation it took longer than usual.

It started yesterday which would make sense since it's probably the weekend...

The others, for most part, require you to buy a API Key.
Try using this website translatesubtitles.co
