Another option is to download it from one of the many online video sites using browser extensions that allow you to do that, there are many. Let me explain my doubt better, I can think of 3 different types of official subtitles 1- Some sites provide subtitles in srt format directly, for example hunt4k and others of the same group, you can see it when you enter in a particular scene, it says clearly that they have available subtitles in srt. 2- Official subtitles extracted from the video with OCR software, I have uploaded a couple of these myself. 3- Subtitles extracted from the DVD/BR. They also go through an OCR process but technically they are also official. What do you think about this? Don't worry about answering me directly or soon, I think these questions are very difficult and need time to have a clear answer, but I think it is important to explain it correctly in the rules.

Back then, 20 years ago, I bought DVDs but I couldn't buy them all. I've had a 15 years break, then, when I wanted to complete my collection, I've noticed the DVD were discontinued. The only option was to buy online: just one language, no subtitles. I know some people care of the story, so it's our role to save it somewhere :) Besides, you can find A LOT of mainstream movies' subtitles in famous sites like opensubtitles... Last but not least, from my experience, subtitles authors/translators: - are not well paid - have no royalty so sharing their work has no impact on their incoming. Plus, editors tend to provide less and less subtitles on their DVD/BR... and even less for hearing impaired people.(*) [*] In all those cases, the only remaining reward for original author is credits. So please DO NOT REMOVE CREDITS from subtitles files. As an amateur subtitles author for 10 years, I've noticed my name was credited as original author only once... vongooB9, I know you know it, but for other people: making subtitles for a movie, even porn, is a lot of work. Most people use our work to burn them on videos and earn money. We don't care of money, but PLEASE CREDIT US! Of course, in case of copyright infringment, please contact us.

Actually I think it is very common in this type of sites, to increase the visits of the channels that do not speak in English, this way they can access a larger market in a relatively easy way.
