Due to great difference between a Japanese sentence and an occidental language one, automatic translation often sounds weird.
Here is a few points to keep in mind when translating JAV.

About pronouns (he, she, ...)

In Japanese, the sentence subject is not always required: it may be guessed from the context, or what was previously said.
In consequence, online translators like Google, Deepl, ... try to guess the subject, and most of the time, they don't guess right. That's why some he become she and so on.

Another thing common in Japanese is to use the firstname of your interlocutor to say you, while it often means he or she in occidental languages. Example:

 - What is Akari-chan doing?  

means:

 - What are you doing?  

When mixing these 2 points above, you can understand why translated JAV dialogs sounds awkward. When actors say something like:

 - What is Tana-kun doing?
 - Studying.

Most machine translators will translate it like this:

 - What is Tana-kun doing?
 - He's studying.

While it really means:

 - What are you doing?
 - I'm studying.

So please, be aware of these differences when translating Japanese AV dialogs.
