The premise centers on a cruise line run by a female captain (a Cody Nicole, too new to acting) who caters exclusively to female clients who are "banished" or simply wish to escape the pressures of men, whatever they may be. Young heiress Laura Lloyd Walker is sent to the cruise ship by her uptight guardian as punishment for exposing her genitals to her "bewildered" driver. Sharon (Loni Sanders at her best) has been unfaithful to her husband and is discovered by him, who punishes her by forcing her to fornicate again with her lover while he watches before sending her off on "transatlantic reflection." The two colleagues, Stowaway (Turk Lyon) and Roscoe (Randy West), manage to sneak in as stowaways dressed as women, hoping to find nothing but women hungry for male flesh. The husband-and-wife team of David I. Frazer and Svetlana Mischoff has earned a reputation for their adult comedies with large casts of fresh faces and action-packed plots. The silly but extremely sexy "Sex Boat" remains one of their most accomplished works, courtesy of cinematographer João Fernandes. And longtime fans should have no trouble identifying a host of star supporting characters like deckhand Kelly Nichols, flight attendant Kandi Barbour, and cabin crew member Nicole Noir. A fun, contemporary comedy based on the legendary series "Love Boat," it attempts to parody with minimal accuracy.
