The misadventures of three women in the same apartment building: Joelle finally manages to lose her virginity to her teacher, Hector, but they are discovered by her father, and she is evicted from the apartment. Martine is dissatisfied with her husband and seeks pleasure with her friend Charlotte and her husband. Arlène has several misfortunes with men and comes to believe that they only want her for her money, until the caretaker confesses his love for her. The three women eventually become overwhelmed by their respective situations and, sitting on the landing, are invited to the apartment of a fourth tenant who organizes group sex parties.
This film remains a good example of the level of sophistication that French adult culture could have maintained, if the government of the time (Jacques Chirac) had not overwhelmed (punished) the "carnal sin" industry with ridiculously high taxes. Here, the narrative is simple and sophisticated at the same time, a personal paradigm of its director, the great Francis Leroi, who moved from filming softcore movies to hard-core commercials without shame and keeping his real name in the credits.
