Sensational staging and a blatantly feminist perspective on the sexual adventures of the most daring students at Townsend Girls' School, two of whose members plan to sneak out at night with their boyfriends, rejecting their younger friend, Buffy, because she's still "too virginal." Outraged, Buffy, with a barely legal physical appearance, decides to prove her worth by seducing the history teacher in exchange for a good grade. Meanwhile, Coach Fowler fantasizes about his student Miriam, and the two fool around in a dreamlike setting. The next day, the pair of wild beasts plot to seduce him too, dressing up as Miriam, in a dark room, leading to a situation of surprise and confusion.
Adult films about schoolgirls used to be an ill-calculated risk in the era of porn chic. We had to interpret them as simple role-playing by adult women practicing cosplay. "Little Girls Blue" approached the end of a decade that was glorious for carnal cinema, and the homage paid to the schoolgirl fetish here closes a paradigm that wasn't repeated with the sequel, five years later. The cinematic resources of Maria Lease (renowned porn actress, who here directs under the name Joanna Williams) are evident, not only in the creative montages that superimpose different shots to explain a thought or a dream, but also in her ability to mix in subtle and irreverent gags while the surreal touches merge with the plot. Bill Matchton's music, with the whisper of a harp and the sound of a Rhodes, fits perfectly with the various sexual sequences.
