I admit I'm a big fan of the darker, more adult, and explicit side of Joseph W. Sarno's film career (Butterfly, Kärleksön, Fäbodjäntan, etc.), so I take full blame for my own disappointment with this film. Although the plot requires several nude scenes and very steamy scenes, none of them reveal the most intimate secrets of the two beautiful protagonists. Eric Edwards plays an archaeology professor (I can't think of a less erotic profession) who spends a few days with his wife Laura (a physically sublime Mary Mendum AKA Rebecca Brooke) and his technical assistant Anna (the beautiful Cathja Graff, who could have been a sensational discovery in contact film, but who goes so unnoticed that we'll never see her again in any other work), collecting "stones" in a Swedish maritime setting, for his "exciting" university studies. Anna not only admires the professor, but also begins an affair with him behind his wife's back while she's sunbathing on the beach. But she eventually finds out and plots a lesbian revenge that doesn't end as she planned.
The question I would ask Sarno here is why cast Eric Edwards or Anita Ericsson in purely erotic roles? I'm sure he would have found real dramatic actors to play these bland roles.
