Belle is caught in the act of love with her boyfriend Charlie by the outraged Father Ambrose. The next day, the priest, who convinces the naive girl to make carnal concessions with the skill of a true libertine, proves to be the first in a long line of predators who take advantage of Belle's dwindling ignorance. Barely sexually invaded, she is already pounced on by fellow friars. Meanwhile, a hilarious midnight mistaken identity with the girl's mother, a young and radiant Annette Haven, culminates a costumbrist plot based on a 19th-century British tale.
As with most salacious literature of the time, "The Autobiography of a Flea" offers as much social criticism as graphically detailed descriptions of filthy events, an aspect not lost on McNight, who extracted generous amounts of frivolity from the written pages, with irony expressed by a tiny flea. Paul Thomas' first appearance in an adult film, and the first on-screen sex for the delightful Jean Jennings, who here indulges in oral sex culminating in penetration.
