Review: [SDMT-263] Two Human Furniture (2010)

As a long time Dolcett fan, I found this series to be rather intriguing.

This is the second movie of the Human Furniture series, the first being SDMS-491. If you have ever seen the original "House of Wax" or 1979's "Tourist Trap", then you'll have a great idea of how this movie plays out.

In 2010, it was determined that young, beautiful, and smart women would be selected by a large corporation to be turned into human furniture for the rich and powerful. Once selected, the women then go through a process where their personalities are completely destroyed by the use of various dehumanizing practices, sexual 'harassment', as they call it, and various drugs the women are made to drink and have applied to their bodies in the form of a gelatinous lotion, which the 'trainers' apply without mercy to every inch of the women's bodies, inside and out, in order to preserve their skin for their position as furniture.

Once they are 'broken' and completely de-humanized, they are then positioned by the use of various straps. They can always be re-positioned or re-purposed. Their eyes are vacant, and they show no emotions, though when brand new they do tend to frown, and even cry when being used as silent, motionless sex toys, but this fades away after a short time. The most they do then is look with sadness and disdain upon the shoppers and admirers of fine furniture.

Two stories are told in this movie:
One is a daughter who is chosen and her parents are very proud that she will soon become a piece of beautiful furniture, even though she is somewhat reluctant. (Yeah, and the ocean is somewhat damp.)
Two is a woman who tried to run from the furniture makers with her boyfriend, but they are cornered. She tells him to get a job as a furniture maintainer, so they can be together. He does, but when he finds her as a chandelier, he also finds that she is completely unresponsive to anything he does. Her personality has been destroyed. However, when he first kisses her, a single tear runs down her cheek.

Is she still in there? Can she be brought back? Will he rescue her? Will they ever be together again?
You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

This movie falls somewhere between the original 'Stepford Wives' and 'The House of 1,000 Corpses.' A bit closer to the latter, but not a slasher movie.

If you're really into bondage, mind-control, and degradation, this will be the film for you. I would suggest starting with the first film to familiarize yourself with the subject, but this one does stand on its own. Oh, and make some popcorn.
